Dedication of Benjamin Cully
In the first of its kind in 25yrs at Shiloh, today as part of our morning service, a Dedication took place.
Many ‘Thanksgiving Services’ (Christenings without the water) have been conducted, but today’s celebration of Dedication was about two Christian parents presenting their child unto the Lord, giving thanks for the good gift the Lord has entrusted to them.
The Dedication was also about putting little Benjamin at the Lord’s disposal to draw him to faith in Jesus & use him for the glorious work of His kingdom.
Benjamin’s parents, Sam & Laura wanted to honour God by this simple act of thanksgiving & devotion.
Mark Tatty Gordon conducted the service after speaking about ‘heaping coals of fire on our enemy’s head’, meaning, overwhelming them with love in the hope our enemy realises their wrong & has a change of heart.
Just like Jesus who loved us when we were His enemies, He overwhelmed us with His love which caused us to realise our wrongdoing & have a change of heart toward Him.
Baby Benjamin is a fruit of the Lord’s overwhelming love for Sam & Laura who both have come to love Him who first loved them.
