Faith Brenda Dodds Thanksgiving

This afternoon Mark Tatty Gordon joined with over 80 people to celebrate the Thanksgiving Service for Faith Brenda Dodds, God's precious gift to her parents Matt & Sammy-Jo.

Tatty once again told the congregation "Every child born into this world is proof God has not given up on us." 

Reading from Psalm 128, Tatty spoke of the one blessing it contains with many aspects to that blessing, which includes: your work being rewarded and being happy in it, that things will always work out in the end for you. Your wife, husband, partner will also be blessed, as will your children, and you will see your children's children.

What a blessing from God!

To gain that blessing, to own it as your own, a person must 'Fear the Lord and walk in His ways.'

To fear the Lord is to have faith in Him, to trust in Him; and to walk in His ways is to repent from living your life your way and live the way the Lord wants you to live.

Is this not a blessing every parent would want for their child?

Is it not a blessing every one of us would want for ourselves?

Sammy-Jo & Matt came together today with their invited guests to give thanks to the Lord for little Faith Brenda as God's good gift unto them.

May they together seek the Lord, fear Him and walk in His ways, and may their family including little Faith all know God's rich blessings in their lives.

Tatty then told the congregation that although they have sinned against God, He loves them and wants to bless them with forgiveness of sin and everlasting life.

To truly know God's blessings in a very real, experiential way, a person needs to Confess their sin - Repent - and Trust in Jesus alone for salvation.
